Ed! Oh my gosh! I just got my Hope Chest today! It is absolutely gorgeous! I love it and the color I chose (Fruitwood) is perfect. I have loved all over it, sat on it, smelled it and called my mom and told her I wanted to be buried in it! It is exactly what I wanted! The carving is so beautiful and my mom and I love the words 'LOVE NEVER FAILS'. She said those words are a part of her heart that she has given me. Ed, Kathy and Bill.... thank you so much for making me the most fabulous and meaningful gift I have ever received, for my July 4th birthday. It is everything I wanted it to be! My mom said she has never heard me get so excited over something before, but it's a dream I had from the time I was about 20 and now I actually have my Hope Chest. This wonderful blanket and hope chest by Amish builders is done by a small group of Amish craftsmen who do the carving before the Cherry chest is finished in two coats of a very durable finish and stain.
The chests are assembled from glued up strips of Cherry hardwood.
Engraved with 'Love Never Fails: Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.' I Corinthians 13:7
The chest bottom is LINED WITH AROMATIC CEDAR to protect the contents from damaging insects.
A CHILD PROTECTION LOCK is designed to exclude younger children.
This chest can be ordered personalized for an additional charge.
